Maverick Unity is a chilled seafood presentation specialist: a design studio in Thessaloniki, Greece that makes serving pieces for shrimp, oysters and other seafood served cold over ice.

Maverick Unity began in 2020 in Thessaloniki, a Greek port city where the Mediterranean has been setting tables for two thousand years. Cold seafood here is not an occasion. It is an ordinary Tuesday.

We started with a simple frustration. Serveware that photographed beautifully and failed when it mattered. Ice that melted too fast. Chilled seafood that warmed before the guests arrived. Trays designed for a shelf rather than a table.

What we build

Chilled presentation pieces in 304 stainless steel. Trays, ice wells and sauce vessels for shrimp, oysters, ceviche and everything else that is better cold.

We use 304 because it holds and distributes cold considerably better than glass or ceramic, it does not corrode, and it takes either a mirror or a brushed finish without plating that will eventually fail. It is also why we are comfortable warranting our pieces for life.

Every piece is designed in our Thessaloniki studio, then produced in partnership with a family metalworking house that has been working in stainless for three generations. We inspect every production run before it ships.

We say designed in Greece because that is what is true.

Why we write

Most of the questions we get are not about the piece. They are about the shrimp. How many to buy. How long to cook them. Why the last batch came out rubbery. Whether the tray will still be cold in an hour.

So we wrote it down. Everything in our recipes and guides is free, and there is nothing to sign up for to read it.

The guarantee

Every Maverick Unity piece is warranted for life against rust, pitting, weld failure and defects in finish. No registration, nothing to fill in. If a piece fails, we replace it.
